Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Caddie Tap is built to collect as little about you as possible. There is no account, no login, and no server that stores your information — your data lives on your device.
Information the app uses
- Location. While you're using the app, Caddie Tap uses your device's GPS to calculate your distance to the green and to show the aerial view of the hole (via Apple Maps). Your location is processed on your device to provide these features. We do not run servers and do not store or transmit your location to us.
- Your name and optional photo. If you enter a name or set a photo, they are stored only on your device and used to personalize the app and the cards you choose to share. They are not uploaded to us.
- Your scores and round history. Stored on your device so you can review past rounds.
Information we do not collect
- No account, email, or password.
- No analytics, tracking, advertising identifiers, or ads.
- We do not sell or share your personal data. We have no advertising or data-broker relationships.
Third-party services
- Apple. The app is distributed through the App Store / TestFlight and uses Apple Maps (MapKit) to display hole imagery. Your use of those is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- OpenStreetMap. Golf course information (course names, holes, greens) comes from OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database License.
- Sharing. When you tap Share, the card is handed to your device's standard share sheet and sent only to the app or person you choose.
Keeping and deleting your data
Because your data is stored on your device, you can remove all of it by deleting the app. We hold nothing to delete on our end.
Children
Caddie Tap is a general-audience golf app and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new date.
